Dr. Mafruza Sultana

Lecturer

Dr. Mafruza Sultana has 15 years of Academic and Administrative experience. She has worked as a faculty in Economics Area in different colleges and Universities for six years.

Her doctoral thesis is on a socio-economic analysis of clay model industry of Krishnanagar, a district in West Bengal. Her research interests include social economics, women empowerment, developmental and financial economics. She has many publications to her credit, having presented at many national and international conferences.

Dr. Mafruza is passionate about studying the issues of present time, such as democracy, urbanization, technological change, economic empowerment, sustainability, migration, and globalization; and explore creating collaborative change by translating economic growth into broadbased improvements in urban and rural living standards. She received the best paper award for the paper titled, ‘work life balance of women professionals: impact and implications’ at BAASANA interdisciplinary conference held at Adelphi University, NewYork, USA. She also holds a lifetime membership of Indian Economics Society.
