Dr. Navneet Sharma is a leading intellectual in the area of competition law, market regulation and corporate social responsibility. Prior to IFIM, he served at Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, a think-tank of Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Govt of India, as Head of School of Competition Law and Market Regulation. He anchored the National CSR Awards, apex recognition by the Government.

His academic associations in the past has been with CUTS Institute of Regulation and Competition (as Director), Eritrea Institute of Technology, NE Africa (as Assistant Professor) and JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth (as Assistant Professor). His professional engagements as advisor has been with Economic Laws Practice (as Senior Economist), EU-funded Haryana Community Forestry Project (as consultant) and Indian Institute of Rural Management (as Research Fellow).

Dr. Sharma has worked with a number of high level committees of Govt of India, namely, Planning Commission Working Group on Competition Policy (2011), High Level Committee for Framing India’s National Competition Policy (2011-12), High Level Committee for Reforming Business Environment in India (2013-14), Steering Committee of National CSR Awards (2016 – 19). He is credited to have led the roll-out of the first of its kind long-term courses in the area of competition law and market regulation in India.

In addition to numerous policy papers and reports, he has also co-edited a book on Global Competitive Advantage: Concepts, Approaches and Perspectives, Volumes: 1&2.
