IFIM’s (Now Jagdish Sheth School of Management) FOCUS, the management journal, is being brought out by the Institute of Finance and International Management (IFIM, Now Jagdish Sheth School of Management) with a view to facilitate effective dissemination of information with regard to various management issues and problem-solving methodologies relevant for practicing executives as well as for academicians working in the field of management
Fifteen volumes of FOCUS have been published so far. However, we are trying to revamp FOCUS. The Journal would be more oriented towards Practitioners’ rather than towards Academicians similar to the Harvard Business Review. This was decided after some strategic thinking as the stakeholders did not want the journal to be just a drop in the world of Academic Journals.

FOCUS: International Journal of Management is brought out by an AACSB Accredited Business School -- Institute of Finance and International Management (IFIM) Business School (Now Jagdish Sheth School of Management), Bengaluru, with a view to publish rich, insightful and contemporary research articles dealing with industry friendly applied issues of management. The research papers are planned to foster a better understanding of the theories and practices of management and thus particularly focus on problem-solving approaches, relevant to the practicing executives and as well academicians engaged in the related fields.

Since the start of the Year 2020, COVID -19 Pandemic has had a huge impact on the world economy, including India, where spread has been massive. The Pandemic and ensuing Lockdowns have kept the entire world indoors for an extended period of more than six months. This has completely changed the way we live, work and study. Work from Home has been implemented by most Corporate, Government and Academic sectors, may be barring those belonging to essential services.
In the backdrop of such widespread economic devastation and disruptions in Business, Industry & Education, the theme of the December 2020 Issue of FOCUS Journal has been decided to be ‘Impact of COVID-19 and Best Practices in Business and Management’.
The December 2020 Issue of FOCUS Journal invites articles that focus on the Impact of COVID-19 on the following domains :

The last date for the Submission of Papers for the December 2020 Issue is 15th October 2020.
The Refereeing Process
All articles received by the journal will be first reviewed by the Chief Editor for appropriateness and completeness, in terms of the requirement of the Journal. Articles that meet the committee’s basic requirements, will be blind reviewed by two referees conversant with the subject.
Once the papers are cleared by the referees, they will go for final publication in the journal. This is keeping in with the standards stipulated by any international refereed journal.
Frequency of publication: Biannual – June & December
Soft copy of manuscript can be mailed to dean.research@ifimbschool.comNote: Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.
