It is used for horizontal, vertical and overhead plaster and concrete projects. It must be mixed with water and it will reach the structural strength in one hour.

  • Is this a modified cement product?

    A. No, the high-performance properties come from the Cement in the mix.

  • Are Bonding Agents necessary?

    A. Bonding Agents are not required. Proper surface preparation is the main component in achieving a good bond. If Bonding Agents are desired, they should be used as a supplement to good surface preparation, but not as a substitute.

  • Can I blend other products with EcorexTM ?

    A. Blending with other products may give unpredictable results, and is not recommended. The use of its approved additives and various colours are acceptable.

  • What should be the recommended thickness for applying this product?

    A. Only 3-4mm thick layer is good enough for the purpose that provides high bonding strength.

  • How do I mix it?

    A. You should add around 11-14 ltrs. of potable water with a Mortarex TM bag. The use of a mechanical mixer or drill-mounted mixer is recommended. To maximize working time, you should organize work so that all people and equipments are in their desired place before mixing.

  • How do I place and finish it?

    A. You can deploy traditional methods to place and strike-off to desired level. Mortarex TM is fast and does not leak water. Thus, you should apply your final finish immediately after placing. You should organize your tools and people for initiating the work quickly. On Flat work, you should fill to full depth and proceed horizontally. DO NOT place in layers.

  • How do I cure EcorexTM?

    A. The objective of water curing is to maintain a wet surface until the product has achieved sufficient strength. You should begin curing as soon as the surface loses its moist sheen, and continue this for a minimum of 1 hour.

  • How do I prepare the surface?

    A. You should roughen the surface and remove the damaged or contaminated concrete. Ensure that the repair surface is not contaminated by oil, paint, acids, dirt or other materials that will prevent a good bond.
